JEWELLERY-SPECIFIC PRODUCT DISCLAIMERS (VERAÈ)

VERAÈ fine jewellery is crafted using precious metals including 14k gold, 18k gold, and platinum, and may feature natural or lab-grown diamonds and selected gemstones where stated. Fine jewellery is a luxury product and must be treated with appropriate care. The guidance below explains what customers should reasonably expect.

What are our gemstone and diamond quality guidelines?

VERAÈ selects diamonds and gemstones according to the specifications shown on the relevant product page or consultation documentation. Diamonds and gemstones may contain natural inclusions and characteristics, which are part of what makes each stone unique. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, minor inclusions may be visible under magnification and may not be visible to the naked eye depending on clarity grade and stone type.

Discrepancies between gemstones and diamonds

Gemstones and diamonds are natural (or lab-grown with natural-equivalent properties) and no two stones are identical. Variations can occur in hue, tone, saturation, brilliance, fluorescence, and inclusion pattern. Where sets or pairs are produced, we take reasonable care to match stones appropriately, but a perfect match may not always be possible depending on availability and the nature of the material.

Gemstone colours vs. renderings

Product images, videos, and renderings are provided for illustration. The appearance of metals and stones can vary due to screen calibration, lighting, camera settings, and natural changes in daylight. For bespoke projects, CAD visuals and renders illustrate design intent but may not perfectly replicate the final hand-finished piece. Small differences in polish, prong thickness, or surface detail are normal in handcrafted jewellery.

Gemstone size guidelines

Where dimensions are stated, we aim to source and set stones to those measurements. Minor tolerances may occur due to cutting variations, setting requirements, and craftsmanship. Where carat weight is stated, it reflects stone mass and may not translate linearly to visible size across different cuts.

Metal purity and diamond quality overview

VERAÈ jewellery is produced in precious metals including 14k gold, 18k gold, and platinum, as specified at checkout or in your bespoke confirmation. Metal purity and hallmarking are handled in accordance with applicable UK hallmarking requirements where required. Where diamond grading or certification is provided, it will be from recognised laboratories depending on the stone and product. Small accent stones are typically graded in batches and may not carry individual certificates.

Correct ring care and servicing

Fine jewellery can be worn daily but requires care. You should avoid wearing jewellery during high-impact activities, heavy lifting, gym training, manual labour, or when using chemicals, cleaning products, chlorine, or saltwater. Settings should be checked periodically, particularly for rings with pavé, halo, or micro-set stones, as small stones may loosen over time. If you suspect a stone is loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us for guidance.

Gemstone care

Hardness does not equal toughness. Even diamonds can chip or fracture if struck at the right angle. Certain shapes, including pear, marquise, baguette, emerald, and other pointed or step cuts, can be more vulnerable to edge impacts. You should store jewellery separately in a soft-lined box to avoid scratching, particularly as diamonds can scratch other jewellery.

General wear and care advice

Wear and tear can include scratching of metal, softening of edges, loosening of small stones over time, and patina development, especially on rings worn daily. This is not a defect. Rhodium plating on white gold may wear over time and may require replating as part of maintenance. Platinum develops a natural patina and may show fine surface marks with normal use.

Insuring your investment

We strongly recommend insuring fine jewellery after purchase for theft, loss, or accidental damage. Many insurers require a valuation or proof of purchase and may require periodic updated valuations. Insurance is the customer’s responsibility and VERAÈ does not provide insurance cover.

Lead time to manufacture and deliver

VERAÈ lead times are estimates and may vary depending on design complexity, stone sourcing, hallmarking, and quality control. Our standard made-to-order production timeline is typically around 4–5 weeks, and bespoke commissions may take approximately 5–6 weeks (or longer depending on design and sourcing). We may be able to accommodate urgent deadlines in some cases, but this is not guaranteed and must be confirmed by us in writing.

Resizing

Not all designs can be resized, and resizing can affect design integrity, stone security, and finish. Resizing may also affect eligibility under our voluntary returns policy. If resizing is possible, we will advise based on the design. Where a ring has been resized, it will generally not be eligible for return or exchange, even if resized by VERAÈ.

Breakages due to poor care

VERAÈ is not liable for damage caused by impact, misuse, accidental knocks, exposure to harsh chemicals, or failure to follow care guidance. Fine jewellery is durable but not indestructible. Loss of pavé or accent stones can occur as part of normal wear and tear, particularly with frequent daily wear and impact exposure, and is not generally considered a manufacturing defect.

Discounts and Offers

Items purchased with promotional discounts may be subject to additional terms, which will be provided at the time of offer. We reserve the right to cancel and refund orders that do not comply with promotion conditions, or where promotions are misused.

RETURNS

Returns are governed by the Refund and Return Policy above. Nothing in these disclaimers limits your statutory rights where applicable.
